    Hi all,

Loving FaceRig and it's a pleasure to have signed up to this forum!

I'm hoping someone can help me.

Does anyone know if there is a way I can play audio (for instance a recording of myself) into FaceRig and have the Avatar talk and use the audio as its guide?

Any info would be SO gratefully appreciated.

    Many thanks

Hello, yes, there is a way. It's a little complicated to set up, but it works like a charm.

    1) You will need the VB-Audio Cable. It's a small piece of software that basically tells your computer: "Hey, some audio is coming through this cable, you might want to check it out". As you can see it in the name, the "cable" is a virtual one. Install their audio driver from over here:
    http://vb-audio.pagesperso-orange.fr/Cable/

    2) Open your Playback Devices. You can find this in your Control Panel. Link both input and output (recording and playback) to the VB-Cable option.

    3) Open FaceRig, set your microphone's input to VB-Cable and turn on Audio-based Lipsync.

    4) Play your pre-recorded audio in any player you like, hit record on FaceRig and start acting out your scene WITHOUT actually talking (just head movements, blinking, etc.)

    5) Boom, you're done. Export your film and check if the video is synced up with the audio, or just re-sync it in a third-party video editing software, if you find it easier to do so.
